Does not reliably combo into the strong final hit unless the opponent is downed or near the edge of the shockwave's range, as otherwise they get hit enough times that they can SDI up too far for the final hit to reach. Uses Grave Blade, slamming his sword into the ground, creating a shockwave that hits opponents multiple times. Uses Beast, creating a beastly apparition in front of him. One of the few grounded moves that can hit below pass-through platforms. Slashes twice, then stabs forwards multiple times with Sword Rain. As such, he firmly cements himself in top tier.Īttributes Update history Moveset Ground attacks Attack Despite his long range, his attacks tend to have poor coverage, causing him to whiff against characters that get uncomfortably close to him.Īs long as he remains onstage, Lloyd is capable of outperforming virtually any opponent by utilizing different aspects of his incredibly diverse toolset to his advantage. Coupled with his low weight, he has a tendency to end up offstage more often that what one might consider comfortable given the circumstances. This also limits his offstage game somewhat, as he needs to ensure he doesn't fall too far below the stage lest he be unable to make it back. However, while his recovery is overall decent, Lloyd's Tiger Blade is a weak recovery move on its own, making him susceptible to edgeguards if his other options are unavailable. Just in case these tools weren't enough, he also has strong finishers in down smash, up smash, forward air, back air, up air forward tilt, and dash attack. He has a fast, spammable projectile that pops opponents into the air on hit, giving him an easy combo starter that can also be used for mixups and frametraps. Due to the long active duration on many of his attacks, he has a great onstage edgeguarding game. He regains his double jump when using Rising Falcon and has the ability to immediately cancel his recovery move, Tiger Blade, into any aerial, giving him a flexible recovery that is difficult to challenge offstage. He has very strong combo potential, above average ground mobility, fast attack speed, and ridiculously disjointed hitboxes on almost all of his attacks. ![]() Lloyd is currently ranked 3rd on the tier list for Version 1.3.1.2 of the game. He uses modified sprites from Tales of the World: Narikiri Dungeon 3, being the only character to retain his visual appearance from the original Super Smash Flash. He was one of the first characters added to the game, appearing in Version 0.1 alongside Ichigo, Mario, and Kirby. Lloyd is a pseudo-veteran starter character in Super Smash Flash 2. ![]()
